Today is 16th December 2014 - two years ago a shameful incident shook the whole nation (India) where a 23 year old girl was gang-raped by six men including the driver in a private bus. Sadly nothing has changed much in two years later, still our newspaper is full of these news. There is a strong need to change the mentality of Men in our society so we Women can feel safe and free. As a tribute some of the nailartists joined hand to express their opinion in the form of art. I really thank them from the bottom of my heart. Let's have a look at their work

Hi Everyone,

I would like to share a very special nailart today. Nailart is always associated with beauty and considered as an accessory for women. For me it's also a way of self expression, being a part of nail community I know many nailartists who express their emotions, voice their opinions and tell a story through the medium of nailart. This idea of nailart came into my mind when I read the latest rape case by an Uber-Cab driver in Delhi-India. I felt anguished and thought if I can express what I want to say through my nailart it will be a great way for self expression. I talked about it with my friends and some of them agreed to share their nailart  for the same cause. I will share their work tomorrow. Now let's have a look at my nail art.

Today I am sharing a special post. I did a twin mani on Instagram with Claire (Practise_makes_perfect). She is one of my earliest friend in this nailart journey and I still remember that she helped me to submit my nailart on MSN website which got featured too :) She is amazingly talented and a must follow account on Instagram. Meow lolz I am quite excited to share this post. Hello Kitty turned 40 on 1st November , I love this cute Japanese Origin Character. Every little child want to have one hello kitty in their collection. When I came to know that NailPolishQueens have posted a weekly challenge to do Hello Kitty Nails I was so happy and at the same time I wanted to do Movember Nail art too ! (See how tough is the life of a nailart lover :P). I just thought what if I combine both and I just laughed at myself as the idea of adding moustache to hello kitty felt crazy. But out of curosity I searched google (it's a life saver you know) and BAM!! so many images of hello kitty with moustaches which I couldn't beleive. I was super happy and excited and finally picked up two images and painted on my nails. Have a look

October is breast cancer awareness month. It's coming to end but that doesn't mean we don't have to be aware later, being a woman I know how important is to have knowledge of this menace. As per data out of every 100,000 women 124 suffer from this disease. So take steps now, check yourself at home and if any doubt see a doctor. You can read more about this in my previous post HERE.

Wish you a wonderful Diwali. Diwali is the festival of Lights and celebrated in the honour of Lord Rama returning to his home. This is a week long festival and different days have different ceremonies. Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha are worshipped as this festival is also considered as start of Hindu's new year and Hindus pray for prosperity and good luck for coming new year.

This is my favourite festival. As a kid also I loved decorating my house with earthen lamps and helping my mother in making rangoli. I tried to recreate the same scene on my nails. Have a look

On the occasion of father's day I tried to do something special on my nails dedicated to my father whom I love and respect a lot. I love this Father's Day Quote I found "DAD is A son's first hero and a daughter's first love".

Hello Lovelies, It's been a long time since I did something intricate. I was really itching to paint some detail work and finally came up with this. I was inspired by a painting I saw on google and gave it a try. I am quite pleased with the outcome and I hope you all will also like it. Hello friends, I am sharing my weekend blue nails today. Since April is autism awareness month so nail community is painting nails blue to mark the occasion. I also did two blue manis. Jewelled Eggs for Easter- Easter Nailart

Three days left for Easter and my social feed is full of cute bunnies, chicks and colorful pastel eggs manicures. I really don't know what I can add to it as what's in my mind is on someone's nails :D. But all of a sudden I got this idea of some vintage kind jewelled eggs !!! So I gathered all my caviars and rhinestones to decorate my nails and here is what I came up with !!

A day at the Beach - Summer Beach Nails

I love summers for many reasons and one is beach. After we moved to Qatar I am so happy that I can enjoy at beach with family and friends. Being a coastal country Qatar has many beaches to explore and we are on our mission to check them all. :D Well      back to mani, I did this mani as a part of #stnchallenges called #popularsummernails. This is to mark the birthday of Dr.James Parkinson who first described about this disease in his book An Essay on the Shaking Palsy (1814). I have also done few challenges from finger food buffet so I am also entering this mani for this weeks theme called Delicious. ... , Back to the mani.... What could be chilling and refreshing other than Ice-Creams and Cocktails :)  So I decided to do different flavors of icecream and a coconut drink. Today's prompt is Welcome Back Summer. When I thought of that all bright colors came to my mind specially yellow. Another reason I did this look coz my left nails (yes yes those pointy claw nails !!) They broke boohoo!! and I had nubs left so I gave some relaxation to my left hand and tried water marbling on my right. I am so pleased the way it turned out. Hello All Lovely Friends out There.
On 17th March two festivals HOLI and St.Patrick's Day are falling !! How amazing is that  ! So many people will be enjoying all the festivities in different ways ........ OH! Well that reminds me that I have a lot of cooking left :P.
Since I am from India so I am celebrating HOLI and that means lot of heavy food, sweets and colors. And Colorful Nails :)  But I did not want to leave the opportunity to paint my nails in lovely greens and rainbows so I have done both mani's which I am sharing below !!

Roses - Stripes & Dots Nail Art : Finger Food Buffet

Apologies for posting late this week. I was checking all great posts in the group and just loved them all. For this theme I had planned ahead but couldn't get time to execute it timely. This mani is inspired from a pair of leggings I saw in a mall and I clicked it's pic to use as inspiration later. Yes I have symptoms of a true nailart addict LOL :D. Anyways according to the theme we had to create Stripes and Dots and here I did Black and White stripes and muted orange dots as a background.

Do you like Splatter Nails ? I like to see them on others but I never dared to try on myself because I hate clean up so I came up with a new idea "SPONGE SPLATTER" . I liked the effect it created though it wont be same as traditional straw. But since it's no mess I think I will be using it more often .
